Overview

SUMMARY:

As part of the warehouse & logistics team, this position will be responsible for fulfilment of daily order requests for service and install, inbound warehouse shipments, issuing parts and supplies to field technicians, assisting with regular restocking requests, outbound shipping for service and install, and assisting with inventory control. Works with field operations, procurement, other branch warehouses and suppliers to ensure internal and external customer needs are met.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

  • Ensure parts orders sourced from 3rd party warehouses are completed on time and correctly, based on information received from service & sales & field technicians
  • Receive inbound shipments; ensures department specific shipments are delivered to appropriate recipients
  • Complete outbound shipments from onsite warehouse
  • Assist with company-wide shipping, receiving, and inventory control processes
  • Ensure clean, tidy and safe work environment including organization of warehouse
  • Commitment to continuous improvement
  • Other duties as assigned by the Manager

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel and ERP systems
  • Previous experience with basic accounting functions

Working Conditions:

Office setting. Sitting or standing at work station with computer keyboard, multiple monitors, and desk phone. Company dress code is business casual. 

 

PositioN type and expected hours of work:

This position is required to work at the company’s home office during the company’s general business hours of 8 am-5 pm, Monday-Friday. Break periods and a lunch period are provided. This position may be required to perform work duties in addition to the above business hours, depending on workload and deadlines.

The employee may be required to lift objects up to 20 pounds which may include company materials, files and small equipment.  Specific vision abilities by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus in order to view reports, computer screen, forms and documents.  

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is performed indoors in a fluorescent lit workspace at the employer’s office with minimal exposure to noise and adverse environmental issues.
