The Security Implementation Engineer has responsibility for the successful installation of new and established security solutions (changes, adds, upgrades) for ISS customers. In this position, you will follow the project throughout its entire lifecycle, from project planning, product design, and service deployment through the handoff to production and day-to-day support. The position works with both hardware and network designers to ensure that the design is valid and meets customer requirements. Training ISS internal teams/stakeholders on new and change-oriented solutions is also a key responsibility of the position. The position includes technical writing duties and responsibilities and is responsible for gathering, organizing, and compiling information from the implementation process into the System Playbooks and Installation Guides. In addition, the position facilitates the distribution of information and facilitates collaboration with other departments and key stakeholders. 


  • Testing and validation processes are a vital part of the implementation process. You will ensure that the proposed design components are interoperable, that the product can be built, and that all functional requirements are met. You will assist cross-functional teams with the design, testing, and deployment of all security solutions to achieve on-time project completion. A key element of success is to confirm that all parts, cabling, and miscellaneous components required for the successful completion of the installation are included in the final Bill of Materials.
  • Installation Guides are critical in avoiding common pitfalls and errors that can occur during an installation. Part of your responsibility as an Implementation Engineer will be to write Security Installation Guides with the goal of being easy to read and understand by someone who may not be an expert or have limited knowledge of the security field. You will also review new Security Installation Guides to identify areas that may need to be expanded upon or removed if irrelevant.
  • Proof of Concept installations provide valuable feedback to the PMO, COE, and Product Teams within our organization. You will analyze the POC installation process to identify problem areas, report these issues back to the proper team, and collaborate with that team with resolutions to modify the installation process with the goal of saving time on site.
  • The Playbook is a reference document for our internal delivery teams that contains all of the workflows, contact information, standard operating procedures, and other information necessary to complete tasks with consistency and accuracy. You will be responsible for gathering, organizing, and compiling information from the implementation process into the System Playbooks and guides.
  • Interface is an innovative company that meets emerging market needs and customer requirements by employing modern technology and hardware to meet those demands. You will learn and be trained on all new service platforms, and equipment, and you will train our team on how to install/use the new services through documentation and multiple methods of training (1-1, in-person, virtual, etc.).
  • Process and product support are key to ensuring successful installations and there are occasions when a team member is not familiar with or does not understand, a particular product or process. If inter-team support and escalation do not resolve the issue, you will assist in the resolution through phone or email submissions. You will also update the company SharePoint site with “tech tips,” technical bulletins, and other brief technical submissions.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • 5+ years of operations and service delivery experience highly desired.
  • Highly desired minimum of an associate degree.
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office software tools.
  • Smartsheet experience is highly desirable.
